What are cookies and similar technologies

The exact names and lifetimes may vary by page version and provider updates. Below is a representative overview:
- Session / security (strictly necessary): cookies or headers used by our hosting or application to maintain secure delivery of pages; typical duration: session or short-lived.
- Cookie preference storage (strictly necessary): stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics and advertising technologies. The preference remains in browser storage until you change it through “Manage cookie preferences” or clear site data.
- Maps (third-party): pages with embedded maps (e.g. Google Maps when an API key is configured, or Leaflet with map tiles from providers such as CARTO / OpenStreetMap data) may set cookies or process data according to those providers’ policies. See provider documentation for names and durations.
- Google reCAPTCHA (optional, third-party): where enabled on forms, Google may use cookies or comparable storage to assess abuse risk. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.

- Google Ads conversion measurement (optional): tag AW-18253993308 loads only after consent. It may process visits and conversion events, advertising or device identifiers and referring campaign information, and may set or read advertising cookies.

Third-party services
Third parties that may set or read data when you use our site include:
- Google (Analytics 4 and Google Ads after consent; Maps and reCAPTCHA where enabled)—processing may occur in the US and other countries under Google’s terms and applicable GDPR transfer mechanisms. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Map tile / routing providers (e.g. CARTO, OSM-based services, OSRM routing endpoints) for route previews and distance tools.
- Hosting and CDN providers that deliver static assets.

Local storage and other storage
We use browser storage to remember your cookie preference and may use local or session storage for site functionality such as form drafts or interface state. Your preference remains available until you change it or clear the site’s browser data.
